A new Beginning

I never thought l’d be here, at 45 years old, single for the past three years. Ending my marriage was one of the hardest decisions l’ve ever made. For so long, I believed that staying together was the only option, that divorce would be a defeat, a sign that I had failed. But in reality, it wasn’t the end of my story; it was the beginning of a new chapter.
I remember the first few months after the divorce, waking up each morning and feeling a mix of fear and excitement. It was strange to suddenly be alone, to have the freedom to make decisions that were entirely mine. There was no one to consult or compromise with, and I realized that for the first time in years, I had the power to shape my own happiness. It was liberating, but also terrifying.
I took it one step at a time. I began to ask myself what I truly wanted-something | hadn’t done in years. I explored old passions, like painting, and discovered new ones, like hiking and traveling solo. I made my home my own, filling it with things that brought me joy.
I learned to embrace the silence of my own company, finding peace in the freedom to be authentically me.
